One of my most favorite things in life is gathering people to haveintentional conversation. When our oldest child, Brady, was in Kindergarten, I found myself longing for more vulnerable and authentic relationships. I had a handful of close friends, but it was hard for me to strike up meaningful discussions over a cup of coffee. My biggest fear was rejection, of course. How can I trust someone else with my hurts - or even my dreams?

Unfortunately for us, in this world of Facebook, Instagram and Snap Chat, we feel connected to everyone, but are actually missing one of the connections we need most : authenticity. Who doesn't want have someone in their life that they can just be REAL with?

As I have fallen in love with all things gardening, God has brought these sweet passages of scripture to life for me revealing so much of how our relationship should be with God, the Perfect Gardener. My desire for is to God's hand in all of creation. To remember God’s faithfulness in every rain storm, every gust of wind, in every sunset and sunrise.
I pray that as you close the last page of this short devotional book, your walk with God will be refreshed and renewed. That you’ll see a tree thrashing in the wind and see God cheering you on. That you will walk across a stream rushing with water and recall God’s continued faithfulness. And that you won’t be able to look at dry cracks in the ground without asking God for the next rain, knowing that He will deliver.
