You Are Already Chosen
Do you find yourself feeling average today? Do you feel you aren't the best at anything, so you're failing at everything?
Let me speak some Truth over you today, sister.
You might not feel like it, but you have already been chosen. And not in the leftover kind of way. Not in the, well she's better than the other girl way. But in the, you are mine, I can't believe I get to have you, you rock my socks off way.
Jesus said "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you." John 16:16
He chose YOU.
Right there with the messy hair, drinking your second cup of coffee and wondering why you bothered putting makeup on today. You, climbing the corporate ladder trying to find your way in the office He has given you. You, sweet single one moving through each day, seeking God's best for your life and wondering if anyone else sees you.
You are chosen.
It has nothing to do with what you can do, what you have done or even what you will do. It has nothing to do with what the girl next to you is doing, if she's running in the same lane or at a faster pace or if you're as slow as a snail. God wants YOU.
He chose you to bear fruit.
He chose you to minister in His name.
He chose you to share the gospel.
He chose you to love on your neighbor.
He chose you to be all you are in Him, for Him and with Him!
To God be the glory, friend! He chose us!!!
If that doesn't pump you up today, I don't know what will!
No longer are we standing on the kickball field wondering when we'll get picked. Instead, we are standing in the life-long race of ministry, vocational or not, and it's time for us to step up to the challenge! This life you're living right now? It was handpicked for you, or rather you were picked for it! Your community, your job, your friends, your family. They are all here for you to minister to and with!
So, stand up and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Dust off the lies of unworthiness that Satan is trying to whisper to your heart right this second and hold your head high! Know your worth, your identity. You are a daughter of the King, chosen FIRST, not last.
